Si è concluso venerdì 25 Maggio, presso la Base Aerea di Poznan-Krzesiny situata in Polonia, il NATO Tiger Meet Edizione 2018, ovvero l’annuale esercitazione che ha come protagonisti tutti quei reparti aerei che possiedono l’emblema della “Tigre”. Per l’occasione, caschi, aerei ed elicotteri vengono dipinti in diversi colori sgargianti, tutti con l’insegna della “tigratura”.
Il Tiger Meet è stato organizzato con lo scopo di migliorare l’interoperabilità e rafforzare la solidarietà e lo spirito di gruppo di tutti i reparti aerei delle varie nazioni partecipanti; i reparti aerei si addestrano nel dissimilar training e nel far operare diverse tipologie di aeromobili tra loro come unica forza integrata, organizzando tra essi combattimenti aerei in quantità e modalità continuamente variabili. Si va dal 1v1, 2v2, 4v4, fino alla suddivisione in due grandi gruppi: gli aggressors e i blue forces. L’incremento delle capacità operative, della professionalità e dell’interoperabilità tra le nazioni NATO mediante l’impiego in scenari e missioni complesse con lo svolgimento di operazioni aeree composite (COMAO) sono lo scopo principale dell’esercitazione.
La base aerea di Poznan-Krzesiny è la sede della 31^ Eskadra Lotnictwa Taktycznego che opera attualmente con velivoli F-16C/D Block 52 Fighting Falcon e quest’anno è stata utilizzata per la prima volta nella storia dei 57 anni di edizioni del Tiger Meet. A tale raduno hanno partecipato oltre 70 velivoli provenienti da 15 paesi diversi; la nostra Aeronautica Militare Italiana è intervenuta con 4 Eurofighter Typhoon del 12° Gruppo e 2 AB212 del 21° Gruppo.
L’Organizzazione del Tiger Meet, in occasione di tale esercitazione ha previsto due eventi; uno Spotters Day che è stato svolto il 18 maggio 2018 presso la base aera militare di Poznan-Krzesiny, ed un Airshow il 19 e il 20 maggio 2018, presso l’aeroporto civile di Poznan Lawica, con oltre 12 ore di esibizioni aeree, una ricca esposizione statica e molte altre attrazioni.

On Friday, 25th of May, at the Poznan-Krzesiny Air Base in Poland, the 2018 edition of the NATO Tiger Meet has come to an end. This is the annual exercise that features all those air units that have a tiger in their emblems. For the occasion, helmets, airplanes and helicopters are painted in different bright colors, all of them with the sign of the tiger.
The Tiger Meet was organized with the aim of improving interoperability and to strengthen the support and the team spirit of all the air units of the various participating nations; these units practice in dissimilar training and operate different types of aircraft as a single integrated force, organizing air combats in always variable quantities and modes. They range from 4v4, 2v2, 1v1, up to the subdivision into two large groups: the aggressors and the blue forces. The increase in operational capabilities, professionalism and interoperability among NATO nations, acting in complex scenarios and missions by carrying out composite air operations (COMAO), are the main purpose of the exercise.
The Poznan-Krzesiny air base is home to the 31st Eskadra Lotnictwa Taktycznego, currently operating with F-16C / D Block 52 Fighting Falcon aircraft, and this year it was used for the first time in the history of the 57 editions of the Tiger Meet. More than 70 aircraft from 15 different countries attended the meeting; our Italian Air Force came with 4 Eurofighter Typhoons of the 12th Squadron and 2 helicopters AB.212 of the 21st Squadron. The Tiger Meet Organizing Team, on the occasion of this exercise, had scheduled two events; a Spotters Day that was held on 18th May 2018 at the Poznan-Krzesiny military air base, and an Airshow on 19th and 20th May 2018, at the Poznan-Lawica civil airport, with over 12 hours of air displays, a rich static exhibit and many other attractions.
